The Bible really is the source of answers for our lives and is relevant still today. This study guide is a tool to see how what was written ages ago is impactful to us today. Make a choice to renew your mind today.

Using the premise of "as a man thinks in his heart so is he" I realized I need to change my internal tape. In April, 2004 I read through the Bible looking for scriptures that I could meditate on to help me overcome the challenges of daily life.

I wrote down verses that jumped off the pages. The verses talked about blessings, health, marriage, friends, finances, wisdom, discipline and personality traits. The next step was to personalize them and make them present tense to be an affirmation. Thus, a Biblical Affirmation, because there is nothing more powerful than saying God's word.

In September, 2006 the Biblical Affirmations that I meditated on, and had shared with family and friends, was published in book format. Joshua 1:8 tells us if we meditate on God's word day and night and do what it says that we will make our way prosperous. Prospering in all areas of life - spiritually, physically, mentally and emotionally as well as in relationships and business is my idea of success. And so, the compilation of Biblical Affirmations was titled Biblical Affirmations for a Successful Life.
